According to one embodiment of the invention, the pressure piece is cylindrical and provided on its outside with an anti-rotation agent. The anti-rotation means prevents the pressure piece of the differential screw rotates, with no further action being required on the part of the tool holder adapter.
The anti-rotation agent can be formed according to a technically simple embodiment by an O-ring or by two O-rings. In this way, a very cost-effective structure.
In particular, it can be provided that the pressure piece has in its peripheral surface at least one groove for receiving an O-ring. This ensures that the O-rings do not slip in the axial direction when the pressure piece is displaced by the di fferentialschraube.
According to one embodiment of the invention it is provided that the differential screw has a hexagon socket. This is particularly advantageous because then no external screw head must be provided, resulting in a very compact design of the tool holder adapter.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention it is provided that one of the threaded portions is a thread Ml0x1 and the other of the threaded portions is a thread M8x0.75. Due to the resulting difference of the two gradients, a complete rotation of the adjusting screw leads to an axial feed of the pressure piece of only 0.25 mm, so that the tool holder adapter can be set particularly sensitive.

A particularly advantageous aspect of the adjustment mechanism according to the invention is that tool holder already in use can be retrofitted with little effort, since the threaded portion of the differential screw, which is associated with the adjusting thread, is the same as in the prior art. Therefore, no new thread must be cut here.

In Figure 1, a receptacle 5 is shown, which can be mounted for example in a machine tool. In the receptacle 5, a tool holder adapter 10 is arranged, which is to receive a reaming tool, with which a precision machining, for example, made of boreholes.
The tool holder adapter 10 can be adjusted by means of an adjusting mechanism 12 in the radial direction and slightly pivoted by means of an adjusting mechanism 14 relative to the central axis M of the receptacle 5 (see the arrow P in Figure 1). The adjustment mechanism 12 serves to adjust the tool holder adapter 10 relative to the receptacle 5 so that the center axis M of the receptacle 5 and the center axis M of the tool holder adapter 10 coincide in the plane of the adjustment mechanism 12. The adjustment mechanism 14 serves to align the center axis M of the tool holder adapter 10 so that it extends exactly in the extension of the central axis M of the receptacle 5. For this purpose, the tool holder adapter 10 can of course be tilted not only in the direction of the arrow P, but also perpendicular to this arrow, ie in a direction perpendicular to the plane.
The tool holder adapter 10 here has a connection 20 which is arranged in the receptacle 5 and on which the adjusting mechanism 12 engages, and a collar 22 which is located between the connection 20 and a tool side 24 of the tool holder adapter 10. The collar 22 has the basic shape of a cylindrical disc and is provided with four mounting holes 26, which are provided for receiving fastening screws (not shown), with which the tool holder adapter 10 can be attached to the receptacle 5. The mounting holes 26 are evenly distributed around the central axis M at an angular distance of 90 °. Uniformly between the mounting holes 26 and thus also at an angular distance of 90 ° to each other a total of four adjustment mechanisms 14 in the collar 22 of the tool holder adapter 10 are arranged.
Each adjustment mechanism 14 consists of a differential screw 30 (see FIG. 4) and a pressure piece 32 (see FIG. 5). The differential screw 30 has a first threaded portion 34 which is provided with an external thread Ml0x1. The first threaded section 34 is adjoined by a waisted transition section 36, which in turn is followed by a second threaded section 38. This has an external thread M8x0.75. On the side of the first threaded portion 34, the differential screw 30 is provided with a hexagon socket 40 (5 mm). The threads on the two threaded sections have the same direction, preferably right-handed.
The pressure piece 32 is disc or annular executed with an inner bore 42 into which an internal thread M8x0.75 is cut, so matching the threaded portion 38 of the differential screw. The peripheral surface 44 is made smooth and cylindrical, wherein two circumferential grooves 46 are formed in the peripheral surface 44. In each of the grooves 46, an O-ring 48 is arranged. These stand slightly above the peripheral surface 44.
To accommodate the adjustment mechanism 14, a stepped bore 49 is provided in the collar 22, which has an adjusting screw section 50 and a pressure piece section 52. The adjusting screw portion 50 is provided with an internal thread Ml0x1, that is, corresponding to the threaded portion 34. The thrust piece portion 52, which is disposed on the side of the terminal 20 and thus on the side facing the receptacle 5, is shaped as a cylindrical one Bore executed with a smooth wall. The dimensions of the pressure piece section 52 are such that the two O-rings 48 abut with prestress against the cylindrical wall of the pressure piece section 52.
When the differential screw 30 (to the right in a right hand thread) is rotated, it screws deeper into the thread in the collar 22 of the tool holder adapter 10. Since the two threaded portions 34, 38 have a thread with the same direction of movement, the differential screw screws simultaneously deeper into the pressure piece 32 into it. Due to the difference in the slopes of the two threads of the differential screw this screwed in, for example, a complete revolution by 1 mm deeper into the collar 22 into it, while she hineinschraubt only 0.75 mm in the pressure piece 32.
